Oh, yeah… the Ganomy Hats. Here’s the third and final hat:
This one was done in Wool Ease, denim color. Took less than half a ball, I think. I messed around with the decreases a little in an attempt to avoid the elfish look. As it worked out, the hat kinda looks like a dinosaur head. Take a look:
It’s got several points along the top, but my two year old doesn’t care and it fits over his big ol’ noggin, so what the heck!
I also finished the gnome I mentioned in the last post, but I don’t have an FO pic yet. So goes life in winter wonderland. Here’s the WIP shot for grins:
I was feeling some serious pangs of guilt for not completing the Baby Bobbi Bears requested of me several months ago, so I cast on for the second of three. I’m working on the first leg at the moment and it’s really not worthy of a picture. 🙂 I’ve been making very little progress on the Mitered Blanket for my youngest… It’s been a nighttime knit and I haven’t had much energy when we’ve gone to bed lately, so the progress has suffered. On the other hand, my two year old has discovered how to climb out of his crib when he doesn’t want to nap, so I’ve been able to camp outside his door to lie in wait. While I’m doing this, I knit on his blanket. It’s working quite well on both fronts–I get some knitting progress and he gets naptime.
I’m waffling on my gift choice for the two preschool teachers… I was thinking I could crank out two lace scarves pretty quickly, but now I’m not so sure. I mean, I just counted how many days until Christmas Break and there aren’t nearly enough of them!!
For those of you with kiddos, here’s a pic from my 4 year old’s birthday party on Saturday:
It was fun, but exhausting. I hope you all had great weekends, too!
